Description
This item for sale is a gorgeous, vintage handmade, heavy, sterling silver hair comb made by Chato Castillo for Ingrid's Silver. The plastic comb is old and brittle and missing tines-this can easily be replaced if you have a dremel hand tool or a drill with a skinny bit. Just measures the distance between the silver 'pegs', drill the new hair comb, and glue into place on the pegs. No problem. The silver part of this gorgeous comb measures 4 inches across and 2 inches tall and weighs 34 grams. It is exquisite! It is stamped "Ingrid's Silver" and "Made By Chato". For those who do not know...Chato Castillo was considered one of the most talented of William Spratling's apprentices. I have been a licensed Estate Buyer, for the last 40 years, and in that time I never sold anything that nice, in Sterling Silver. I always just put it in boxes and saved it, because I liked it, and thought it was way underpriced. I am sure I missed several opportunities, to sell good things, at high prices, but I enjoyed looking at them from time to time. I have retired, now, and it's time to sell it ALL!
This is a definite older, early Mexican pair of solid 925 Sterling silver and natural Blue Lapis Lazuli cuff links, for a man or a woman. I am sure they were men's originally, but could be for either.
They are hallmarked with the correct Mexican markings, and are pre 1970. The fronts measure 17.5mm by 14.8mm, and they are ready to wear, and work perfectly.
If Mexican jewelry is your thing, these could be for you.
No damage although it is pre-owned, and shows some normal wear.
I will always combine shipping on purchases of multiple items.
Please note that any item that is altered in any way after purchase, whether buy the buyer or by the seller, it can not be returned under any circumstances. This means that I you shorten a bracelet, or resize a ring, I Will not take it back. Please be sure you want what you have bought, before you change it in any way.
Thank you,
